Organization:
IIAN is a statewide 501(c)6 non-profit trade association whose members are independent insurance agencies in Nebraska, with offices in Lincoln. Staff: 5 full time, 2 part time, 2 contract positions (of which this is one).
Mission: Advocating for the success of independent insurance professionals.
Description:
Contract position. Plan and coordinate IIAN’s two annual member conferences: Rural & Small Agents Conference in Kearney (usually in February), and Annual Convention in October, usually in Lincoln or Omaha. Work with volunteer advisory committees to develop program schedule and events; procure speakers and entertainment; liaison with hotel staff; develop promotional material; liaison with sponsors and exhibitors; coordinate trade fair; develop scripts for volunteers; on-site coordination of all conference events. Conference registration is handled in-house by IIAN staff.
Qualifications:
Proven background in conference and meeting planning; experience with non-profit organizations a plus. Must be organized, self-directed, motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, and have good interpersonal skills. Association management companies welcome.
